You can never have too many sequins

I'm merrily ignoring the fact that as I thunder towards 40 (January looming....) I'm turning, by the month, into a total magpie. I prefer the term magpie as opposed to "verging on drag act" - seems somewhat less offensive.  But truth be known, my wardrobe is starting to resemble that of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.  And I aim to drag (pardon the pun) you all down to my level by revealing another gem that I spied in (yawn yawn) Zara today.  I had so many emails and comments about the blush Zara sequin jacket that I bought right at the beginning of the season, that I had to ignore my hideous hangover (the less said about it the better but suffice to say, this is going to be a swift blog - there is a sofa with my name on it next door) and pap the jacket that I spied today.

It's not the same as the one I've got, but if I didn't have a blush sequin jacket, I would definitely definitely purchase this.  This is the link from the Zara website and this is the pic.

Which is pants.  It doesn't remotely do it justice at all. It's gorgeous in the flesh - here are the photos that I took.  I may have made a small purchase but I can't work out if I'm keeping or not.  Just didn't want to make the fatal error of seeing something in Zara and "thinking about it".  No no no. Tis easy to return and often impossible to find again if you don't buy it.

So rounding off with what I've been wearing yesterday and today.  And I haven't mentioned the weather yet  - impressed?  Which is being harsh on the weather, to be fair, as today - well, hello summer, where have you been all my life? (well the past week anyway)  Lovely to see you, even though you're apparently buggering off for the foreseeable future.  Cheers.  Back to the galoshes tomorrow then.  But I did get to wear my new Clarks sandals which arrived and I love love love them!  Not that it looks like i'm going to get any opportunity to wear them soon but I am impressed and loved wearing them today.  Young and trendy Sales Assistant in All Saints nearly passed out when she asked me where they were from as she loved them and I told her Clarks.  Result!

So yesterday during the day

  1. I love that Zara jacket- as a size10 which size would be best - medium? Have recently returned from Barcelona and purchased the lovely horn necklace from Mango - amazed at how much cheaper things are there!

    1. hmm I didn't try the jacket on unfortunately but I would say either a med or a small - depending on whether you want it very fitted or slightly oversized. Sorry, I appreciate that's bugger all help! And yay for the horn necklace. It's yum, isn't it! And yes, grrr about things being cheaper at Zara & Mango in Spain.

  7. Funnily enough, I spotted that jacket in the Zara window yesterday and thought of you. I'm planning a late night, child-free trip back in a couple of days, so I'll be hunting out several of your recommendations. Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. Love the Zara jacket. I tried on a sequin top on sale in h&m today and almost purchased it but couldn't really justify it as I'd just naughtily bought some red skinny jeans that I don't really need! Love the Clarks too. My friend had some lovely ones on today from there so I really must have a look irl xx

    1. The red skinny jeans will honestly be a really good purchase for A/W - they're an investment buy I promise! And yes, I would say Clarks is definitely worth checking out. Like I've said, I'm really excited about their winter range. xxxx

    1. That's very kind of you thank you. And yes, I know a couple of people who struggle to wear Chanel style blazers or any blazer actually. But then I struggle to wear tea dresses - or pretty much any dress from Boden for example. I look like a 60 year old WI member. Not exactly the look I'm going for! And I'll have a look at your blog! Congrats on 100 posts - that's great. xxx
