Lockdown sending us all mad?

Madness or is it actually something very sensible??  Anyone else been having bonkers thoughts about what they Need?  Having gone through their wardrobe, have you found gems that you love from years ago that are working perfectly for your lockdown outfits?

Or have you thought... I need a XXXX?

I have a foot in both camps.  Loving old clothes that I've had for years but the problem with doing more blogs is that I've spent longer on line and there is just too much temptation.

Although to be fair, what I suddenly have a hankering for, I've not really seen online. And if there's one thing I love... it's a challenge.

I have decided that a denim dress is definitely on the card.  A long, loose, Spring and Summer denim dress that can be worn into the Autumn and Winter with layering and boots.  Not a thick, heavy denim but a chambray perhaps.  Hell, who knows what we will find?

Yes this is one of these blogs that I used to do years ago.  One of those ones that I start writing before I have done any research so it could be one item long - depending on what I find!

Let's get started...

For those who don't love maxis - these are the perfect midis.  And lyocell is a simply fab fabric.  Soft and fluid and drapey and sublime.

Lyocell denim dress from H&M £24.99

Button through midi dress from La Redoute £52  This doesn't come with the belt but any belt or scarf would be perfect with this.  Or just wear plain.

Denim midi shirt dress from La Redoute £60

Another shirt dress style at AllSaints at John Lewis in the sale.

AllSaints Polly Denim Midi Dress was £128 now £89

Then the budget gets blown at My Theresa.

Nanushka Jiaye dress at My Theresa £370

And in the black from Nanushka again at FarFetch £395 for the black.

But apart from the prohibitively expensive one (obvs..), these are my favourite shape.

And there's another great one from ASOS in the sale in black.

ASOS DESIGN denim prairie dress was £35 now £28

Which they also do in a petite.

ASOS DESIGN Petite Denim Prairie Dress was £35 now £28

Denim Tiered Midi Shirt Dress from M&S £55

And this one from Plumo

Leora Dress from Plumo £119

It doesn't have to be long though... I will say that most that I found were prohibitively short - proper snatch flashing, but there are some that will maintain your dignity.

Belt denim dress from Mango £49.99

This is simply sublime.

A-line denim dress from H&M £29.99

But THIS one is THE BEST.

Denim dress from H&M £29.99

Which they also do in plus £29.99

And a Tall number from ASOS.

Missguided at ASOS Tall Long Sleeve Dress £38

Another shorter version which is super easy to wear and could easily also be worn over jeans.

Lyocell Dress from H&M £24.99

And this looks like another great option from hush.

Emmeline Dress from hush £75

And - like last time, since I don't own a denim dress there is no photo BUT next time, it's all about the skirt.  Since writing this, I've decided that a tiered skirt is THE way forward and THESE I own.  So I'll be back with something else to keep us occupied during lockdown.
