Joggers that aren't for jogging

Especially when they have a go faster stripe. So I was going to write this as a general joggers blog but it appears that I have been indoctrinated by a side stripe. I love these for a less casual look. Don't get me wrong, I love these for a complete slob day with a hoodie and a pair of trainers - ideal for the school run or for those days when you really want a glorified version of your jamas.
But when you throw in the juxtaposition of a cashmere roll neck and a trench coat - even with trainers, they have a certain edge to them that I am currently doing all the crushing over.
A coloured pair are ideal for bringing all your old faithful black favourites up to date. I have a red pair which I LOVE. And I also own a black pair which are ideal for breathing fresh life into your old monochrome outfits. Will be wearing with chunky boots in the Winter. Right now, I wear mine with trainers and Birkenstocks. You can also do a heel addition although right now I can't even think of wearing heels - it's all about the flats.

And then how about some colour. I shouldn't love these ones as much a I do. I ADORE them. I think with a long trench and a cashmere jumper - perfection in an Autumnal outfit.

And a cuffed pair at Whistles but I think the satin stripe negates the more casual edge that the cuff gives.

And an unusual pair from DKNY in pale pink at ASOS. Definitely for when you want your trousers to do the talking. I would advise keeping the rest of your outfit very plain and pared back.

And here I am last week in two pairs of mine. Both adidas - one black and one red.
Expect to see a lot more of these although obviously not this week as - oh HELLO HEATWAVE!! Won't stop me charging forward with all the Autumnal goodies though... bring on that cashmere, those knits, all of the leather, boots and trenches. BRING IT ON!
