If at first you don't succeed...

......get off your (or should I say "my" rather enlarged from lack of exercise) backside and haul it down to an actual shop, in order to find the elusive sales item that you "must" have.

Am still waiting on my Massimo Dutti order (tap toe, tap toe - error on their part frankly as by the time it gets here, the shops will be full of SS stock and I will be beyond over anything AW.  Maybe...) but with my Reiss disaster and my lack of trouser purchase from Zara (all sold out again), I was in desperate need of a pair of silky tapered trousers. (I know random mcrandom but I had my heart set on a pair)

I had seen some in FCUK but at nearly £80 and them being a bit of a punt at that, I figured I'd wait till the sale.

However clearly a number of other people had had the same idea (or bought them at full price) as on Boxing Day they were completely sold out.

So finally I dragged my sorry behind to the actual shops.  Total result.  One pair left, in my size and now down to.....drumroll...... £19.50!  I love it when a plan comes together.

And here are the new addition to my wardrobe.  The FCUK Donna Drape trouser in Oil Slick.        For any tall people out there, these are a really fantastic length, if you can get hold of them.  I am beyond pleased and think they will be a really great start to my Spring wardrobe and perfect for into Summer.

Looking forward to styling them with closer fitted tops (I have a number in mind - need to have a trying on session), little fitted blazers or a cropped leather jacket and ankle boots.

A run down of what I've been wearing for the last couple of days.  Funny old time of year.   Nothing hugely exciting happening here - chilling out at home for the last couple of days of the holidays, with a family Christening at the weekend so more guests staying.  Back to usual on Monday.

Oops slightly blurry from Rugrat 2.  But Christening outfit.
