It's been too long without a discount code

So thanking you kindly Warehouse (and Grazia).  25% off with the code GRAZIA25.

Now Warehouse.  I adore looking at Warehouse online.  I think their new site is superb and the clothes look mostly amazing.  Their shops however... ok so not including Argyle Street or Oxford Street, both in London which have made massive makeovers, the other stores I know are.. err questionable.  Which is me being polite.

The one at Bluewater, I so so so want to love (the changing rooms are beautifully large and the staff are super helpful plus it has a great location).  But somehow, the clothes are completely unrecognisable from anything they have online or they just don't have half of it to begin with.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure I even wear anything from Warehouse on a regular basis.  Oh hang on - that amazing coat I got for a song in the sale.  THAT is a prime example of how superb Warehouse can be.  I must be able to recreate a Summer gem.

So let's start with what works.  20% off is not to be sniffed at.

This I didn't see in store.  It is however the most perfect top with skirts for Summer.  For out out, for the school run, for meetings, for over joggers.  Perfection.

Ruched Draw Cord Tee from Warehouse £26

Now I love the teensy cap sleeves but if you don't want them, there is also a vest option.

Ruched Shell Jersey £26

And you could always add the skirt to make it into a dress... might be quite a useful number to take away on holiday.  Actually this is the perfect item, now I think about it, to throw over a swimming cossie when you want to go and get a drink.  Long gone are the days when I will swan around the side of a pool in just my swimmers.  The wobble factor is too great.  No one needs to see that.  Something to just fling on is what I always have - it's usually a kaftan or dress of sorts but actually this would be genius.  Super stylish, practical and can double up with the tee for a dress in the evening.  I have just totally sold myself this!

Ruched Front Midi Skirt £32

Speaking of separates, I also tried on this.  Now I did actually buy this and I will try it on again but I'm not sure I love it as much as I did in the shop.  It's already in the boot of the car to go back, merely because I have said I must LOVE a dress to keep it and I'd rather have the pink Preen one from Debenhams.

However it's a very very pretty, easy to wear ensemble (and it would also look ridiculously fabulous with my yellow leather jacket...)

Flower Burst Midi Skirt £36

And the top.

Ditsy Print Scoop Back Top £29

As an outfit... hmm maybe I do like it.  Thoughts??  Actually I really think I might.

This is the black jacket but it would also work with the yellow.

Whilst we're on the topic of yellow, I'm just going to throw this in as it would be ridiculously suitable for those Summer rainy showers.  Festival perfect.

Colour Pop Windbreaker £99

And then of course there are the dresses.  My ultimate Summer go to - I could simply write about them every day.

Starting with one that I love.  I liked instore - I have gone away, I have thought about it and I may have to go back and get it.  The colour is sublime.  Seriously gorgeous and perfect for when you want a Summer dress but one with a bit of substance and not a wafty, floaty number with spaghetti straps and less fabric than a G string.

Floating Floral Midi Dress £55 I sized up to the 12 as I wanted more volume and didn't want it clingy on the waist so I could have a bit more length.  I would say though that it is true to size.

Nope, I think I like this one more...

I also surprised myself by liking this one.  As I said - the choice of stock in Bluewater isn't great (to put it mildly) so I grabbed this.  Well.  What do you know.  It's pretty darn lovely.  It comes up big - this is a 12 and it's huge.  The 10 would have been absolutely fine on me.

Sunflower Hanky Hem Dress £55  It also has pockets which means it does have a head start on the others.  It's also a much better quality than it looks here.

A very similar shape.

Peony Pop Silk Hanky Hem Dress £150

Another one I wanted to try that they didn't have instore.

Warp Print Ruched Sleeve Dress £69

Finishing with a stripe top as I couldn't not and it's pretty darn fabulous.  Lovely thick fabric - boxy and short in the body.  Take your usual size - you definitely don't need to size up.  I did and it's on the large side.

Actually this is it in your usual size.

Zip Pocket Stripe Top £32

If you don't want it quite so snug, size up like I have here.

So.. .blue floral two set or orange dress?  I'm toying with ordering the orange dress now that I've looked at it again.  Dare I mention those blooming knee high boots and how fabulous they'd look with it?

And did someone may knee high boots?  As if by magic... who would have thought tan, rust, brown and red would go so well together (well, I think they do anyway).

Red dress - M&S
Orange boots - Isabel Marant
Tan suede jacket - hush
Brown leather bag - Vintage shop in Margate

I am now off to get changed (out out - WHOOP!) but I did spy a pair of shoes on Warehouse which may solve a myriad of summer shoe issues.  They're not going to work for everyone but they've got my name written all over them so they may be the first stage of my summer shoe search.  Back tomorrow (once I've got over the shock of a 9am cricket start. Eek).

  1. Thanks for the code! Just got a denim jacket - a staple that I've meant to buy for ages and suddenly realised that I can't do without. Just got the classic dark denim, not the one with strange tie sleeves that i would drape fetchingly in my dinner. Also the red earrings that they showed on the model, because obv I am Lana Del Rey!

  2. I have just bought the dark grey suede biker jacket! Like you say, they don't have great choices in store. Went to look at it, only had it in the tan suede. Found out I was inbetween sizes. With the 25% off, thought it was worth a chance at ordering it in the smaller size, as sometimes, items are cut slightly different. Voila! it fits a dream. A little extra room under the arms (as that is where it was snug), so the gamble paid off. Being picky, I would have liked it a bit of darker grey - as I had a black suede biker in mind, but they are like rocking horse droppings, so this maybe the nearest, but its a great colour for the Summer too! 3. Kat, where is your black jacket from? I recently ordered the Hush Onyx one, but my husband asked me if I was auditioning for Greece and it went back!
