Leopard love

Yes it's that time of the season when I crack out the leopard post.  It's definitely one of my most favourite blogs to write - only problem is not ordering anything from it.  I love leopard.   It needs no introduction, it needs no justification.

It IS a neutral and it's the all year round option you can always turn to.

Which is what I did yesterday when I had the most spectacular treat day ever, thanks to an invitation from Decleor and Kerastase.  A facial at home (although the poor lovely lady had the most hideous journey in the snow so it was a mini facial in the end!) and a hair treatment and blow dry at Daniel Galvin, followed by a lunch at The Arts Club.  Perfection in a day.

And what do you wear for such an amazing treat?

Why leopard print of course.  The perfect for every occasion silk Ganni dress.  That I was going to wear on Monday for a huge party but apparently it's dressy dressy (not really having a mild panic At All....) but wore yesterday instead.

Which got me to thinking - I haven't done a leopard post for at least a short while and as a lovely break from sequins, chunky jumpers and coats - OH HELLO LEOPARD.

Boohoo Leopard Print Mini Skirt from ASOS £15 (can't find this on the Boohoo site).  Now first up - I would not be styling this quite like this.  For me - at 44, I would prefer a pair of opaques but that could be because I am 5ft10 and there is a lot of leg out of the bottom of that skirt.  But I think with a polo neck, opaques - it's all rather Marant.

The most incredible ruffle shirt at Warehouse £35.99

An utterly awesome with the most utterly awesome price tag but just in case...

Lace-trimmed leopard-print dress from Red Valentino was £1515 now £608

Animal Print Jumper £36 from Warehouse

A different leopard version at Topshop £36

Missguided leopard print blazer £45 - again not available on Missguided and again, throwing it out there that I wouldn't be wearing something "slightly" as low cut as this.  My preference of course...!  But with a white tee, jeans and heels - perfect alternative Christmas party outfit.

Other coats - and the one that I bought this season from Anthropologie.

Lila Skinny Leopard Coat from Helene Berman at Anthropologie £188

Different style at Warehouse was £96 now £72

And at Topshop.

Buttoned Seam Leopard Print Coat £89

Louisa Jacket from Notes du Nord at Anthropologie £331

Onto footwear.  There are times when only a leopard boot will do....

Office Aruba Leopard Boots £89

RAID Amber Leopard Print Kitten Heeled Shoes £29.99

Red mid heel height at Topshop.  I love these.  I really really REALLY love these.  I do not need them and chances are I wouldn't wear them.  Ergo I must buy them.

Jemma Point Mid Shoes were £59 now £25

Higher at Boden.

Lisbeth Heels in Leopard were £130 now £98

Flat at The Outnet.

Leopard print calf shoes from Schutz was £155 now £78

Moving onto accessories and a leopard belt.  How do I not have one of these in my life?

Leather Leopard Belt £19 from Warehouse

More accessories in the form of bags.

Happy Bag in Leopard by Hill & Friends £550

Clutch in the sale at Matches from DVF.

Saddle calf-hair and leather clutch was £205 now £143

And a scarf from Mango £19.99

Another version of leopard scarf £15.99 from Mango

BUT my find of the day is this from Warehouse which is exclusive to ASOS.

Warehouse Leopard Dress £65

Alas I don't think I can justify another leopard dress - here I am in mine from yesterday.

Untitled

Dress - Ganni (new but sold out).

I have had one of those days - planned loads, accomplished nothing.  I did START my wrapping which is a first.  Maybe I can get some more done in the next couple of days....  I can't believe Christmas is literally only round the corner.  EEK!!

  1. Stop with all the leopard! I can’t justify another pair of boots or a coat but that Warehouse blouse in the other hand....
Saw a gorgeous fur coat in H&M but as I was wearing a leopard fur coat at the time, I was good and didn’t even try it x

  3. Oh the belt! Thank you thank you thank you Kate it looks identical to my favourite one which is dying! Do like a bit of leopard but being overly blessed in the boob department have to be careful to avoid the Bet lynch barmaid look lol

    1. Oh fantastic! I keep thinking how useful a leopard belt would be... It's good for a leather belt as well, isn't it!!

  4. I’ve got a River Island one that I bought last Christmas which is identical to the Warehouse crombie-style one, except it has a detachable cream fur collar. It’s much warmer than you think, and I wear it loads! I’ve never quite found a furry leopard one that I liked - I always end up looking like an American footballer. So this year I bought a brown fur coat from Zara, which has a small faux leather collar and cuffs, and is very sleek looking. Win!

    1. Now I pretty much feel like this about most fur coats. I feel like I turn into Sully from Monster Inc.. this massive furry thing. I am going to do a fauz fur blog - in fact I might do it today as I know it's something I won't be tempted to purchase! (famous last words and all that....!!)

    2. This one is magic, I swear! No lapels, which instantly cuts down the bulk around the shoulders: https://www.zara.com/uk/en/faux-fur-coat-p01255292.html?v1=5349080&v2=883034

  6. I am Bet Lynch. I'm sure if I looked closely I'd discover that my wardrobe was disproportionately leopardly printed! Quite fancy trying that Misguided blazer - it's a bit different and would look great with some black trousers I own - not quite sure what I'd wear on top but I'm sure I must have something ;-) Christmas was ages away and now appears to be pretty much here and although I think I'm quite organised for it, I'm not psychologically ready! xx

  7. I have the Warehouse leopard print just in ordinary shirt shape (no ruffles) and love it. Also the same shirt in black with little white stars. They are really good this season, aren't they?

  8. Last time you did one of these posts I missed out on a leopard print coat in blue/grey tones, was gutted!
Safer ground this time as I'm not good with animal prints in "natural" colours. The camel tones are not a good look on me unfortunately, give it to me in blue and I'm there like a shot. Such a shame as I love this on other people though, your ganni dress no exception.
Had a great idea though, why not do animal print with sequins or velvet! Just a thought...

    1. Did I not include a velvet top?? The Helene Berman coat is definitely a velvet feel to it... it’s gorgeous!

    2. And I have seen leopard sequins and they are “quite” frightening... !!

  9. It's a neutral, see we do listen and take mental notes!!

  10. So I sent back the Hush Leo fur coat after seeing the Helene Berman one on you in the park with grey accessories. Seemed more ‘accessible’. Less dressy.
The Helene Berman one is at the top of the others wardrobe and he better bloody remember to wrap it for Christmas!

    1. It’s longer than the hush one and less bulky which personally works for me... I will be wearing this into the Summer with a tee underneath it! 👍👍👍👍
