A print skirt. Oh HOW I love a print skirt. Why? Because there is one for everyone. They can also work all year round. They offer versatility and can take you from day to night and chances are, you already have a couple of things in your wardrobe that they will work with.

For example - a printed tee. Throw on some trainers and you have the perfect lockdown, easy to wear outfit that's casual but feels like you've made more of an effort than joggers.

The same outfit - with a fitted jacket and ankle boots - puts a slightly smarter twist on the look.

There's always a silk blouse option - add heels and you've got an out out outfit!

Knit in winter with knee high boots and a biker jacket means the skirt will take you into Autumn.

And the most important thing? It will cheer you up. A print that makes you smile will instantly make you feel better and right now - I don't know about anyone else but the whole Groundhog Dayness of this whole scenario means that anything that can bring a bit of joy into my life, can only be a good thing.

Another animal print - smudged this time AND in petite. I'm always being asked by people if they can wear these sorts of styles if they're of a more diminutive stature and the answer is yes. Absolutely. My top tip would be to choose ones that are made for your proportions (there are lots of great petite ranges around) and ones that aren't too voluminous with swathes of fabric.

The perfect skirt for all year round. Obviously amazing with the matching blouse - a silk shirt or black knit would work just as well. Black tee or cami and black barely there sandals (or any sandals) are PERFECT for the warmer weather.

Monochrome again at Topshop. I LOVE this one. Perfect for all those black and white and grey basics you've got in your wardrobe. And ideal again for an all year round look.

Not monochrome but a variation on the theme with a small twist and a hint of red. Super useful ALL year round.

And now for some which are perfect if you like the look but are more on the petite side. You don't want something that's going to swamp you with lots of fabric and the asymmetric hem means it's great for those who aren't as tall.

If you're petite, this midi will be a longer length on you, but the dark shade and small polka dot print, along with the ruffle making again the hem asymmetric and there not being huge tiers of fabric - all those things will mean you're able to get the longer look that will work for your height.

Another midi that would absolutely give the maxi look for those who are more petite. There IS more fabric in this one, but it's such a floaty fabric - it wouldn't swamp a smaller frame.
