Yes, it's the beauty one. No I don't do these very often at all but I've been recently asked about my skincare and what I use and what I recommend, so here are a list of my current faves. And yes, I have mentioned a lot of these before but - well, they work.
These are all things that I've bought - yes, I do regularly get sent things, some of which I like, some of which I think are just ok, some of which I rebuy myself as they're that good. This is my list of things that have stood the test of time and I buy again and again.
Starting with my all time favourite face cream and the main reason for doing this now as it's such a bargain, I'd hate for anyone not to try it at such a great price. I did a sneaky order this week from Feel Unique as they had some great bargains.
La Roche-Posay Redermic anti-wrinkle treatment was £29.50 now £19.75
There is nothing that epitomises French chic more to me than the fragrance of the Nuxe products. Yes, I know, I know, I need to get out more but genuinely, this has such a pick me up effect to it. An instant lift in a bottle, it just makes me feel (clearly totally randomly) just far more sophisticated. The magic of the senses.
Nuxe Prodigieux Le Parfum £38 was £43.50 now £34.80
Whilst I was there it was rude not to have a quick squizz at the other Nuxe products as I was in need of some new shower gel and whilst there was 20% off and I was doing an order anyway.....
Hey presto. Two birds with one stone. And with Christmas round the corner...
Nuxe Body Lait Fluide Corps Moisturising Lotion with free Gel Douche Shower Gel - was £16.50 now £13.20. This is still £16.50 for JUST the moisturising lotion at M&S.
This set sold out the other day, I watched it like a hawk and it came back in stock but if you want it, I'd be quick. Funnily enough, it's selling like hot cakes.
And when I was checking the prices at M&S, I noticed that they had a Prodigieux Shower gel as well - with gold shimmer, so ideal for the party season (I say that - a) I have no idea how the shimmer stuff stays on your body after you've showered... no I haven't used it yet - not one for disco on the school run and b) when I say party "season", I do mean one Christmas party...)
Was definitely worth a go... so if anyone sees me glowing whilst in the supermarket, they'll know why.
Nuxe Prodigieux Huile de douche shower oil was £10 now £8
And actually I've just noticed they've added another special offer. Oh heck. This is really too good to miss and can you ever have enough product stacked in the cupboard to use? And my body oil has just run out... (also on offer with 20% off)
A Free Nuxe Creme Fraiche mask worth £18 when you spend £30 on Nuxe products.
The other absolutely favourite item in my beauty routine (which is brief, I will give you that) is the Emma Hardie Moringa Balm. And in stock at the moment (again, this goes in and out of stock as people realise what a fab deal it is) so snap it up. I've just ordered another one - I have tried waiting for the 20% discount offers but have never managed to find it instock.
Bargain of this - 150ml equivalent for the price of 100ml. Three cleansing towels instead of one - these do in fact cost £14 for three on their own, so again, definitely worth buying in the pack. Also great for holiday as opposed to having to lug the massive pot with you.
I have never heard anything say anything negative about this cleanser. (cue lots of comments saying it's pants...)
Moringa Balm Set £38 for 3 x 50 mls from M&S
The other thing on my wish list which everyone swears by and I must try, is the Pixi Glow Tonic. Feel free to regale me with your tales of how fabulous this is so I can put it on my Christmas list (code for - order next week...)
Glow Tonic by Pixi £18
Now when it comes to make up, I buy exceptionally little. But on my shopping trip to London the other week, I couldn't resist this palette from Chanel. This will last me years. I wear it every day (so yes, I am disco queen on the school run....) and just plaster on more for nights out (like I said - beauty is not exactly my thang....)
Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi Effect Quadra Eyeshadow £40 (and no I clearly do not ever use the pale pink one as I am makeup numpty)
So that's enough for now although I'm sure I have forgotten a couple of bits which will come back to me as soon as I press publish.
Perhaps slightly more interesting for some - reporting back from Bicester.
Lots of Christmas presents bought - gotta love Superdry and Jack Wills. I also had a home splurge at The White Company, some not very interesting pillow cases and more interesting candles. Not forgetting Ralph Lauren for The Husband.
And a couple of sneaky treats for me. Bargains (of the Bicester variety it has to be said but I have never bought anything from there I regret) in the form of a bag.....
Classic brown suede bag from Coccinelle (£140 which I don't think was too bad at all - in my opinion it looks a lot lot more expensive than that)
And a throwback vintage looking scarf from Gucci - who I am convinced are having a complete style revival. £135. Identical to the Louis Vuitton ones which are a snip of £500. A classic I will (hopefully) have for years and years.
I'm embracing the brown....
Outfit from yesterday.
Navy cashmere jumper dress - Whistles
Skinny zip ankle jeans - Boden
Black Mario bag - Jerome Dreyfuss
Superstar sneakers - Golden Goose
I'm off this evening to a dinner party - wearing maybe another sneaky purchase from Sandro. A top which was reduced to £28 from £180. Well, I couldn't leave it there, could I? Up tomorrow morning as we need to be at a rugby festival in Blackheath by 9am. How bad can that be....?
