One, two, buckle my...

...BOOT.  Not shoe.  Yes folks, it's been pouring with rain here so I am on a boot mission.

I know this sounds all sounds of random but these really are a year round obsession for me.  They are the perfect addition to a Summer dress for those cooler (or rainy) days.  I will also say a biker is the perfect addition as well but I'm easing you away from the onslaught of Summery clothing one item at a time.

So it's ankle boots that are my favourite versions with the addition of a bit of bling.  Yes I have this thing with buckles.

These are tried and tested - they've been around for years and show no signs of going anywhere.  If anything, they're even more popular.  Seriously, any sort of boot goes these days - throw in a little Western vibe or even a bit of Victoriana won't go amiss these days.

You can choose to invest in these with some designer originals or there are some amazing high street versions that are easily as good.

Starting with a pair that I bought 4yrs ago that are still going strong.  I have never regretted buying them and am so looking forward to getting them out again as soon as I get home!  There has to be benefit to the end of a Summer holiday.

And whilst I didn't need these today, the husband has had to go back to London for a meeting and so I've asked him to pick up my Chloe boots and a biker.  Just in case...

Although absolutely not needed today At All.  Glorious weather (after a very stormy start - seriously thunder, lightening, the works.  And there I was, all set for an early run after I managed 3.5km yesterday but alas, even I wasn't going out in that!) was the order of the afternoon spent on the beach.

Dress - Debenhams (sale ss17)
Shoes - Apiedi (gift ss17)
Hat - La Redoute (from paid partnership current)
Bag - Rae Feather (gift current)
Sunglasses - Chloe from Very Exclusive (ss17)

Tomorrow the weather looks to be amazing again.  Hitting the beach all day, have ambitiously bought a couple of magazines....

Now I've done the sneak preview of AW, I have to say it's ALL I can think of!!  The dresses, the coats, the shoes.. oooooooooh the shooooooooos. And the bags.  Bags - now there's something that we can use all year round.  Leave that with me.

  1. I've spent two years looking for my perfect ankle boots, and after ordering and returning about ten pairs I finally found my perfect pair. They're navy snakeskin with stud detail around the sole, block heel and a pointy toe - no buckles though! I would say you've definately been the prius motor for this purchase, I just had to find the right pair for me.
I have worn them before the weather turned hot, way back in April, and I'm looking forward to cracking them out again as the evenings start to close in!

    2. I found a few different pairs, but they just weren't "right"! When I saw the Gestuz pair, I just knew, and was so happy that I hadn't kept any of the others! Navy is always difficult, I'm on the look out for a summer weight jacket, that isn't denim, isn't boxy, but is a little bit edgy - hens teeth, definately! Not that I've needed a jacket this summer!

  2. Danish Pastry - I bought the Hush slate grey frill bomber jacket and wore it for the first time last weekend. Only problem was, I got caught in a short downpour of rain without a brolly and the fabric has badly marked by the rain spots (should this really happen???). So disappointed.

    1. Was so lucky at a visit to Kilver Court outlet, found just what I was looking for in Toast! Navy, patch pockets above the bottom hem, 3/4 sleeves (great for stumpy/ petite arms). It's actually a shirt, or maybe a shacket, the weird thing is it's a size 6, and I'm usually a 12, I'm assuming it's meant to be very oversized and boxy!

  3. I think my dog poo'd in that exact spot Kat - a while back now though, so you are OK. I find this type of boot tricky to wear with jeans, especially skinny jeans. I end up looking like Max Wall - remember him?
