Animal magentism

NOT of the leopard variety.

I know.  First off - huge apologies as I haven't spent the last week writing this, which is how long I think I haven't done a blog post for.  HOW COULD I?!  i am super super sorry but September has become a month of ridiculousness, busy wise.  I was very lucky to go to the French Riviera for two days on Monday and Tuesday with the skincare brand Valmont (managing to leave my purse on the plane on the way back with my entire life in it and no, I still haven't got it back *weeps*).

Wednesday was spent doing something I've never done before which was an interesting adventure and may come to something or may have been just a different experience!  (I can imagine the mind is boggling...!!)

Thursday was spent working at Bicester.  I know.  Yes, it was the job of dreams (see below for what I bought with the voucher they gave me.  I'm not sure, even if tell you I left the house at 7.30am and didn't get back until 9.30pm, that you'll feel remotely sorry for me.  I know I wouldn't).

And today, I have spent all day filming for something that's coming in November.  But this evening - I have finally had time to do a blog post and it's devoted to all things animal that aren't anything leopard related.

Who am I and what have I done with myself?  Now - I'm not saying that I'm going to be going down this avenue - I feel right now that I have myself too firmly wedged into the leopard camp.  But I know that there are lots out there who haven't quite persuaded themselves to let their inner large cat free.

So how about an alternative animal?

And as it seems the dress isn't going anywhere and more of us are adopting them as daily fare, I've done a round up of the best animal not leopard dresses that are out there.

Zebra Print Pinafore Dress from Topshop £55

ASOS have done a very similar version which you could wear with or without a top underneath.

ASOS DESIGN dungaree maxi dress in animal print £32  WITH POCKETS!

Ok I don't even know what animal this is supposed to be but apparently it's from one.. at the very least it would be a dinner party opener!

Animal Print Midi Dress from Glamorous at Topshop £48

Ok now I'm just getting confused with my animals... this I thought was initially leopard but is it in fact cheetah?!

ASOS DESIGN mono plisse wrap animal print maxi dress £45

Wrap dress again in snake print this time.

Grey Snake Wrap Front Maxi Dress from Missguided £40

Continuing with the black and white.. and I just need you to have a look and a good think about this length.. noted?  I will be back with a whole host of these.  To say I'm excited is an understatement.  Knee hovering.  It's going to be a thing, trust me...

Faulkner zebra print cotton midi dress from Ganni £200 (in my mind this is not midi - that's their description, not mine)

Zebra Print Dress from Mango £69.99

Another midi dress from Mango with a tie waist £49.99

Zebra again at New Look.

Black Zebra Print Midi Shirt Dress £24.99

ASOS DESIGN Smock Midi Dress £45

So.... how do we feel about all things animal that aren't leopard?  Are you building a zoo in your wardrobe?  Are you thrilled that there's an option that isn't leopard?  Or are you a dyed in the wool leopard devotee?

So after a week which has been super busy, it's 9pm on a Friday night and I am... IN BED!  Watching a movie with the 11yr old as we let the husband indulge in all things rugby on the main tv downstairs.  Which is code for "I can have a snooze..."!

Tomorrow, up at the crack of dawn again to head into London for London Fashion Week.  I am working with Debenhams for the next two days, taking over their instagram stories and going to the Jasper Conran, Julian McDonald, Jenny Packham and Preen shows.

Heading home on Sunday afternoon.. for the Autumn Fair and Dog Show at my son's school.  BOOM!  See you probably on Sunday afternoon!!

Hope you all had a great week and apologies for not being around.  Can't wait to hear your thoughts on whether you're buying into the new animal trend.
