Today, I have mostly been..

...looking at the new hush S/S16 Collection.  It's their press launch tomorrow but I'm off on my birthday jolly so was fortunate enough to go up and see them today.

What a perfect way to spend an afternoon - looking at new season clothes.  And (sneakily) trying some of them on.

Lots of gorgeous Spring and Summer shades but so much which we can start wearing straight away.

Biggest difference is their new range of shoes which have been designed inhouse (and deliciously named after the designer's family and friends.. I have requested a pair after me for A/W... queue embarrassing looks all round...)

Seriously, as per usual, I could wear almost all of it.   But if you held a gun at my head and asked me to pick my best bits....

Ok beginning with the pieces that are available now (either right now or on a pre order.  And these will start selling out as soon as they go online).

So to start with - as if by magic, there is a brand new leather jacket.  Knowing my current leather jacket dilemma, it was great having the opportunity to try another on.  And it's a really really REALLY good fit.

Onyx Leather Jacket £270

This is the 10 on me.... It is quite a heavy leather but it's not shiny - with super soft leather.   Rubbish photo - you can't see how good the fit is, but it's actually pretty much perfect.  Definite food for thought.  It looks so good on the models in the lookbook over dresses, shorts, jeans etc etc, I have to say I might be sold for this season.

Works super well over the jumper I had on today which is always a great start.

Next up, my choice of jumpers.  The perfect Spring jumpers and there were two that caught my eye.

First up, blush cashmere.  This would be like wearing clouds - I know that sound ridiculous but I can't think of another way to describe their Summer knit.  I've never felt cashmere so soft.  Such an easy transition from Winter into Spring and then Summer as it would be perfect with all shades of grey and ecru.  Not forgetting khaki...   Completely sublime.  And would also look amazing under the black leather jacket.

Two tone cashmere jumper £120  We did have the conversation about it not photographing very well with regards to seeing the two tones, but in the flesh, the front is a pale blush colour and the back a cream (sorry - just seen it's a champagne...)

On a completely different note - this is ace.  It's the perfect antidote to dark January and February nights.  The photos really don't convey how stunning this colour is.  A lovely vintage style looking knit.

Lotti jumper £65 in coral  (which is funny as I would have said, in the flesh, against the other corally coral shades, this is much more of a pink - maybe I should check it's the right jumper.  No it definitely is, I'm sure.. - I'll come back and correct if I'm wrong).

Two jumpsuits this season in short sleeves - the black and the khaki.  Now I'm not that pleased with those hush people, to be honest, as I already have both a black and a khaki jumpsuit and would have loved a navy or a grey.  FOILED.

These are amazing.  Still kicking myself that I didn't get the long sleeved jumpsuit.  Utter. Idiot.

S/S jumpsuit in black £75

(these shoes by the way are called Sophie shoes - after Sophie the designer and come in the black and a nude leather.  Perfect Summer heel, coming shortly).

The two other things I am definitely definitely after, which will be out very shortly.

Olive harems (how amazing would these be with the Onyx leather jacket?  Along with a gold linen slub v neck tee they've got, which is a Summer must)

And the fray crop jacket in Ecru.  Perfection.

Doesn't exactly work with a jumper but for a throw on jacket in the Spring, this is perfect.

I must stop but as soon as things do start coming in, I will let you know.  They have lots of events planned this year about which I will also keep you posted.

I also got a peak at a cardigan from A/W16 and if you thought the Nessa Cardigan was good.. oh boy.  Can't.  Wait.  (if you are a grey and camel fan, start saving).

Now something else I need to tell you about - and I am sending a spy to see if there are any jumpsuit samples left - the annual hush Sample Sale.

If you are in London back end of this week...

Date: 28th to 30th January
Venue: Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road, London, SW3 5EE
Thursday 28th Jan - 10am - 7pm
Friday 29th Jan - 10am - 6pm
Saturday 30th Jan - 10am - 4pm

Up to 85% off  (and I know there are going to be Ash shoes there too.... just saying....!)

So I need to get packing for my night away tomorrow about which I am SO so so excited, I can't tell you.

And the birthday week started off perfectly with a surprise breakfast this morning with my closest friends.  A complete surprise - even the husband was in on it.  I thought I was just going for a quick coffee with my best friend before I went to London - thank goodness I didn't turn up in my active wear (which I wouldn't have done - not because I have anything against it, it would imply that I ever wore it.  Which I don't.  I am going to have to soon as I am counting down the days - ish - till the knees will have to make an appearance and they head further South every year...)

I will say that the new Nike sneakers went down like a bag of sick.  Pah.  They'll all be wearing their flatforms in six months...

Grey cashmere jumper - Me+Em
Black leather leggings - hush
Grey reversible coat - Whistles
Grey Air Force Ones - Nike
Red Soho Disco bag - Gucci

Now packing... I've been reliably informed it's super dress down at Soho Farmhouse, even the bestie who's been, grudgingly acquiesced that I would be right at home in the sneakers.  HA HA HA.  Although as it's my birthday, clearly it means that the weather version of armageddon is upon us and so it's due to be biblical rain.  Of course.  Therefore I shall not be bringing the new suede sneakers but some leather ones will be packed instead.  Them, bit of Bella Freud and we're done.  Or maybe something else.  Bloody rain.  Messing with my outfits.

Did I mention that the hotel is almost on the doorstep of Bicester?  Can't remember if I dropped this into conversation with the husband...  oops.

  6. Love hush stuff so much - I have to stop myself from ordering it all.
Can I just ask but how do you get a reservation for Soho Farmhouse - I called last week to try and make booking for my husband's 40th and got the complete brush off even though they say they are open to non- members.

    1. It's all stunning, I can completely sympathise!

Non members are allowed to come during the week if they're not booked. But not at weekends and I believe you're limited as to how many people can come in a party? But I might be wrong...

    2. Thanks Kat. That is helpful. I shall persevere.

  7. What fabulous new clothes to look out for from Hush. Happy birthday and enjoy your day away. If you have time, would be interesting to pop into The Falkland Arms pub in Great Tew. It's so quaint and full of character. http://falklandarms.co.uk/home

  8. Happy birthday Kat, sounds like you're going to have a great one!

I love Hush - their stuff is top notch and the one thing that wasn't (their knit bomber which snagged like crazy on first wearing!), the lovely Hush folks sent me a £10 voucher to compensate. Completely out of the blue!

I saw their spring colours and wasn't that keen as I can't do pastels but now you've persuaded me to have a second look. (I swear I listen to you more than my husband! Still can't believe I bought a red sweater, albeit Bella Freud!)

    1. No, I'm with you on the pastel thing... but it's how you wear it I think. I'm all over the blush for example - I just wouldn't team it with other pastels. I love it with grey or khaki...

  9. Ooh, a lovely bit of spring inspiration! Gorgeous leather jacket and love the frayed jacket too. Your Me&Em jumper looks really cosy and I do like your Nike flatforms. But agree, I hate it when rain spoils your outfit plans!

Happy birthday and I have a Hush flush (thats the official term for the excitement at seeing all of that Hush loveliness lined up) Love the blush jumper and all that black and white patterning looks good as well. Waiting for their parka to arrive and a big up for their extra long T shirts which look like dresses over leggings and are so comfortable and practical - I have them in four colours!

  18. The tee is stunning. IT's the perfect top to take you from day to night plus they're doing a new tuxedo jacket too... No - no cropped flared denims though, although there are some amazing grey skinnies I've got my eye on. Have you tried the River Island ones in the sale? They're amazing for £12!

The two jumpers I've got are completely different shapes actually - mine aren't fitted but my friend has the Ginsberg one which is a) a different knit and b) much more fitted. The red one comes up smaller than the grey Into This one which is bigger..... I have large in both! (10 to 12 on top)
