I'm not bothered about making the boys wink.
Because apparently that's what happens when you wear pink. Really? Bothered.
It being Valentine's day and having done red last week, it seems only right that I should do a pink blog post.
You may have noticed that for me, the theme of the season so far is definitely all about the one block colour. Head to toe in the same colour, it can be different tones of the same shade but I am loving the matchy matchy. And actually, it means that you can also put the same tones of similar colours together. So you can do all pink. OR you could do red and pink. Yes, Valentine's Day has well and truly gone to my head.
Starting with the jumpers. I don't think I have a pink jumper - actually that's not true, I've just thought I have a couple of fuchsia jumpers just not a pale pink one. Surely this is the perfect pick me up to get us through these dreary months till Spring actually arrives.

So hope everyone has a fabulous Valentine's Day. I thought the husband was out, he's actually out tomorrow night so I've legged it to the supermarket for some steak, chips and my favourite - good old peppercorn sauce.
I think I might go for red again tomorrow.. I'm turning into a stuck record!
Nope not for me this one. I just don't do pink!
ReplyDeleteFair enough! Wouldn't it be a super boring world if we all wore the same colour. I've got green up my sleeve if that's better?!
DeleteI don’t think of myself as a pink person, but the amount of pink in my wardrobe suggests otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThat Boden bag is a thing of beauty!
I thought exactly the same thing!
DeleteIt depends on the pink of course, paler pinks wash me out, but the pink of the & Other stories print shirt, or a raspberry are just the right shades. I own an increasing amount of pink, and said shirt seems to be calling my name...
ReplyDeleteYou're so right about pink and red, it's a great combination. Even my best mate, who's style (in her own words) is on the masculine side and hates anything even slightly frilly, loves pink!
I think it also depends on what sort of look you're after, which usually comes down to what sort of person you are. There are times when I love the ethereal look of a paler pink/blush - it also works super well with tan and navy. Whereas I love a brighter pink teamed with leopard. One is a much more gentle look whereas the latter is much ballsier!
DeleteI do love pink but only seem to have running tops in it. Have been looking at your jeans and realised that i should wear my loose ones more, i love them but my husband thinks i look like i'm wearing Mum jeans (not cool Mom jeans but my actual Mum's jeans)! Well we are off to Bruges tomorrow and i'm going in them - ha!! With grey sweater and grey coat, nearly but not quite all one colour xx
ReplyDeleteGrey and denim - DIVINE!
DeleteI'm so not a pink girl. I think in my life I've owned one pink jumper. However, I'm tempted by some of the pink trousers. How very odd. I may need a lie down!
ReplyDeleteI love it when something you wouldn’t normally wear catches your attention... I think it can give a whole new lease of life to your wardrobe and outlook!
DeleteI’m not a fan of pastel colours. I have some blush pink wide leg cropped trousers that I love but I can’t get away with pastel as a top. I do love bright link however! x
ReplyDeletePastel and bright pink together though.. 💗💗❤️💗❤️💗
DeleteSome pinks can be very chic, but I’m afraid those Ash shoes just remind me of plasters!!
ReplyDeleteOh GOD!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 when you can’t “Unsee” something...!!
DeleteFuschia is 'my colour' according to a colour analysis lady who did ...are you a winter ...summer ..person! Yonks ago! I did buy a blush pink jigsaw jumper at xmas but worn it as yet not sure what colour goes !! Black is too harsh!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear navy!
DeleteNavy, grey, RED!, fuchsia. Lilac.. leopard, cream....
DeleteI love a pop of pink (she says wearing navy and grey), but I think my husband wears more pink than I do! Am hankering after that Boden bag now...
ReplyDeleteMy dear partner surprised me with a pair of gorgeous baby pink Converse this Valentine's Day. Major Brownie points!
