Summer extras
One thing that I haven't mentioned this whole Summer even though I wear them every day and am always putting snippets of them over on Insta is my jewellery.
This Summer I've collected a stash of staples that I sport daily. I honestly find these make all the difference to an outfit - the easiest of lifts. They go with everything, so offer the ultimate in versatility and can easily be worn all year round. I will say, they are the things I am asked most about when out and about. Someone is always asking where's my necklace or one of my bracelets from.
So as we're in that funny inbetweeny seasonal mode (shops are full of Winter clothes but it's 25 degrees and sunny outside - certainly the best stretch of weather I've seen all Summer), I thought an ode to my bling would be the perfect blog for today.
A plain outfit can be transformed with just the smallest addition of silver, gold or rose gold. Or colour can be added to an otherwise flat outfit with one of my new silk scarf bracelets from Silk Philosophy.
These have probably been the most unusual new item I've been wearing. I won't lie - I misplaced them for a couple of weeks earlier in the Summer only to find the lovely husband had tidied them away for me (tidiness generally is not my strong point), back into the little boxes they arrive in and back in my drawer. Where I didn't think of looking.
But I've been reunited with them and will be definitely wearing them into the Autumn. An all grey, navy or black outfit with one of these on your wrist is all you need to keep your outfit from being "depressing" (that's according to the 11yr old....). Plus 15% discount with the code summer15.
I have the Agatha £35
And the Marie £35 pre discount
Now the other lovely bracelets that you see are my every day staple. I stack them on both arms and feel completely naked without them.
I should point out that all the jewellery featured here comes in the most stunning packaging and would make the perfect present. I'm not saying Christmas is around the corner but...
Bella Jane Jewellery. 10% discount with the code DMB47.
I have chosen various ones over the years to complete my stack but my favourite I think it is probably my initial one. Each of my children have one that is their special favourite (they think I've chosen them specially for them... errr who I am to shatter their illusions. Hindsight is a fine thing. Oops).
Initial Bracelet £30
But speaking of thinking of my children, I definitely did when it came to designing my necklaces from Chambers & Beau. I have two new ones this Summer that I have worn daily. And opted to have their names engraved on one and the phrase Enjoy Every Moment on the other. 15% off everything using the code kat15. I cannot recommend these highly enough. Everything can be made bespoke so go forth and have a good look through the website and Instagram to see what you'd like.
Adore these. Completely and utterly adore these and wear them every day.
And finishing with my other two bracelets that I have been loving and yet again are always commented on from saywhatyouc.com (and don't blame me for losing the next hour of your life perusing their website. You have been warned).
Rose Gold Plated Love Bangle £25
And the Silver with the green ties again £25
And here I am wearing them (yes along with the Bella Jane stack - I did say I wear them daily!).
The other reason I have chosen all these jewellery companies to feature and love wearing their products so much is that all of them are small starters. Not huge conglomerates but businesses that were started at home by ladies who love jewellery and accessories.
Here I am today in yet again more of the jewellery. If you look back at any of my pics over the Summer I am wearing a combination of some or all of these products. I get absolutely no commercial benefit from promoting them - I just love to be able to use my platform to promote smaller companies whose products I can personally endorse.
Floral dress - & Other Stories
Smile beach bag - The Jacksons
Hat - Zara Men
Gladiator Sandals - Aldo
If you would like to share any other small jewellery designers that you know, please please do feel free to leave their details in the comments - one of the advantages I have that the blog is growing is that we can help support smaller designers and give them an exposure that they haven't had before. And we all get the opportunity to wear gorgeous, individual jewellery.
Thanks, have ordered a silk bracelet and a skinny silk scarf for upcoming birthday presents for hard to buy for relatives. So nice to support small businesses and the code and free shipping are a sweetener as well. Thanks for being so honest about the products you promote as well. I have stopped reading bloggers who rave about some obscure garment that looks dreadful and it's obvious that they've been paid to do so.....
ReplyDeletewell thank you xxxx (and you will LOVE the silk scarves - honestly they are so so gorgeous and so different!)
DeleteGreat post, thanks for sharing! My wish list is growing rapidly!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of supporting small, start up businesses and I've bought a few things recently from Lines & Current, a Belfast based mum with an eye for style and a desire to give something back (10% of profits go to charity). Please check out Rebekah's website. I'm sure she would appreciate it! Thanks!
Definitely I will check it out thank you x
DeleteA website I completely love is http://www.damsonjewellery.co.uk/ which has lots of individual designers and artists based in the UK. I am planning to get the acorn necklace personalised with my children's initials but can't afford it right now. I want everything on there though!
ReplyDeleteAnother one for the list, thank you xxx
DeleteA range I still love is Lola Rose I think I may have mentioned that on here before, the designs recently have been beautiful no longer just semi precious stones but it's now mixed with gold, silver and rose gold.worth a look.
ReplyDeleteApril.
I will definitely have a look! I think they're a bigger brand now though aren't they? Maybe I'm wrong, I will check them out (maybe it's just that they've been around forever!) Gorgeous things if I remember rightly. xx
DeleteLove this post, thanks so much for sharing your fav pieces! As another poster said, your recommendations are always so genuine and I feel confident trying out new things from your posts. I've loved the Bella silver bracelet stacks on you since forever and the new silk bracelet is so pretty too. Very tempted to try both with your discount codes. Quick question, when do your codes expire?
ReplyDeleteRight, so the Silk Philosophy goes to the end of the month and the Bella Jane code is till the 18th September. xx
DeleteI absolutely adore my rings from Amulette London - have managed to get a few charms over the years and they are always commented on. Have my eye on a pair of earrings for Christmas! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip off, sound gorgeous, will have a look xxx
DeleteOh thank you. I love jewellery, especially silver. I will go and have a look at some of these recommendations, love the silk bracelet. I have bought a couple of rings from local company, Nova Silver, who stock their jewellery in lots of other places too.
ReplyDeleteHope you love them and I'll be sure to look at Nova Silver xx
DeleteOoh, first time I've commented but have followed your blog for years, like a proper stalker-ha! Just thought I'd add my penny's worth-ottomanhands.com and mirabellejewellery.co.uk I adore both but especially Ottoman Hands for their luxe, boho vibe. The rings and necklaces are just divine. Love the scarf bracelets by the way. x
ReplyDeleteOh they sound gorgeous, I will go and have a look (and thank you for the lovely comments!) xx
DeleteI'm a big fan of Laura Lee - lovely delicate jewellery, and the little shop in Seven Dials in London is great. I have an old number necklace from there that I wear several times a week, goes with everything. The chain is very fine, and when I broke it once they fixed it for me, great service.
ReplyDeleteAdore Seven Dials - will have a look next time I'm there, thank you xxx
DeleteI love the work of an immensely talented jewellery maker called the Hairy Growler, based in Cambridge. He only uses recycled materials, old coins that sort of thing. His jewellery is beautiful and every piece is unique and handmade.
ReplyDeleteNow that is officially the best name for a company EVER!!!!
DeleteOmg, the chambers & beau website is gorgeous, I want it all. I do have a birthday as well as Christmas in December... I will check out Hairy Growler too, I'm not too far from Cambridge.
ReplyDeleteisn't it just amazing! I have a wishlist growing...
DeleteFabulous bracelets - I buy some of my jewellery from two lovely sisters - Tess and Libby who started their small business a few years ago. http://www.cecilylondon.com/
ReplyDeleteOff to look at them now!
DeleteHi Kat

Oh wow you've got me hooked on Chambers & Beau ...can't stop looking at the pics. Really don't feel I'm a necklace person for some reason but I'm gonna convert!
